We currently accept and pick up all brands of unneeded, obsolete and non-working air conditoning units. (Note: Cash is paid for recycling of some obsolete units, depending on model.)
TEC Recycling Center, LLC is dedicated to protecting the environment, ensuring that all units are disposed of properly. We recover all refrigerant gases and fluids. We are proud to help keep discarded air conditioner units out of landfills and do our part to stop air conditioners from leaking contaminants into the air and soil.
Common Pollutants
Help us keep these common toxic pollutants in all PTACs, PTHPs and consumer air conditioning units out of landfills by recycling:
- Oil from the compressor
- Refrigerant gases
- PCBs from capacitors and other electronic components
- Mercury from thermostats and some switches
- Lead from pipe joints
